Purpose:
The Chief Elected Official (CEO) of the Orlando EMA is The Honorable Richard T. Crotty, Orange County Mayor. Mayor Crotty has delegated the responsibility for the Part A grant to the Health & Family Services Department. The Health & Family Services Department established the Ryan White Title I Office to provide the administrative support and quality management for the grant.
Roles & Duties:
The duties of the Ryan White Part A Office are divided into two main categories: administrative support and quality management. The grantee office works closely with the HIV Health Services Planning Council and Grantee staff attend all Planning Council committees and functions. The grantee office is charged with: disbursement of grant funds, procurement of services, contracting for services, monitoring services, working with the Planning Council, and quality management.
As Grantee Office, the Health and Family Services Department is responsible for the following duties: prepare and submit Part A applications annually, administer service provider contracts, monitor contracts, report to the Planning Council, and disburse funds. The Grantee is allowed by law no more than 10% of the grant to cover costs of the Administrative Support duties and no more than 5% of the grant for Quality Management. |
